Sherilyn joined the University of Manchester in November 2015 as Reader in Environmental Politics, based in the Department of Politics and the Sustainable Consumption Institute (www.sci.manchester.ac.uk). In 2022 Sherilyn was promoted to professor.

Professor Matthew Paterson

Matthew’s research and teaching focuses on environmental politics, especially climate change politics. He is interested in the fundamental question of the challenges that dramatic environmental change poses to existing political institutions and structures, and what drives the responses of those systems to the unsustainability of the current world order.

Dr-Nafhesa-Ali

Dr Nafhesa Ali

Nafhesa is an interdisciplinary Sociologist with expertise in everyday experiences specifically looking at gender, ethnic inequalities, intersectionality and creative methods. She is currently a Research Associate for the Leverhulme Trust-funded project ‘Towards Inclusive Environmental Sustainability (TIES)’ (Jan 2021 – Jan 2024; ID: 89321), led by Principal Investigator Dr Sherilyn MacGregor. This project is the first in-depth study of immigration and household sustainability in the UK.

Dr Catherine Casson

Catherine is a Senior Lecturer in Enterprise. Catherine Casson joined AMBS from the Department of Management, Birmingham Business School, University of Birmingham. Catherine's research interests lie in the field of the history of enterprise and entrepreneurship, which she studies in a long-run comparative perspective, using qualitative and quantitative methods.

Dr Claudia Henninger

Claudia is a Reader in Fashion Marketing Management and teaches a number of units at BSc and MSc level in the Department of Materials relating to fashion marketing, online marketing, consumer behaviour, and sustainability.
